Why doesnt mobile hotspot traffic pass through the Versa SASE Client?
Hi,
My iOS device has the Versa SASE client installed. Ive enabled the hotspot on my iOS device. I connected my MACOS device to the hotspot. However, when i use 'whatsmyipaddress' on the MACOS device, it shows my iOS devices geolocation rather than the SSE Gateways geolocation. When i repeat the same on my iOS device, it correctly shows me Geolocation information for the SSE Gateway.
It therefore appears none of my hotspot traffic traverses the Versa SASE Client.
Is there a way to force my hotspot traffic via the SASE client? Or do i need to install the SASE client on my MACOS device too?

IOS and Andorid don't support that natively, only if you root your phone.

Just for future reference. It has nothing to do with port fowarding. It is just that iOS and Android phones natively don't route mobile hotspot traffic through a VPN. That is why you need to root an Android or Jailbreak an Iphone to make it work. Because that is the only way to modify the required settings on a phone to allow VPN traffic to go through a VPN.
